AEL Crystals Ltd Release S18N / S18V TCXO / VCTCXO for GPS Applications

Further to substantial customer demand AEL Crystals Ltd has launched a range of Temperature Compensated Crystal Oscillators (TCXO) and Voltage Controlled, Temperature Compensated Crystal Oscillators (VCTCXO) primarily aimed at the growing GPS market.
Initially available in the frequency range 10 to 26MHz the S18N range of parts combine an ultra compact package solution (3.2 x 2.5mm or 5.0 x 3.2mm) with exceptional performance. Rated at +/-500ppb (+/-0.5ppm) stability over a temperature range of -30C to +85C these devices have been characterized for use with almost all currently available GPS Chipsets. The S18N range also offer low power consumption (2.0mA Max), 3.0V operation and low phase noise specifications (-137dBc/Hz @ 1kHz). S18V (VCTCXO) devices add a wide pulling range to the specification. For further information on this exciting new range of products please contact AEL Crystals Ltd on +44 1293 524245 or via our online form.
New Products
AEL is pleased to announce two new product shortform catalogues to highlight some of new product ranges including LTCC (VC)TCXOs, Spread Spectrum oscillators, low current oscillators and tiny SMD watch crystals. For further information and a copy of these catalogues please contact your local representative or the main sales office. Please visit our microsite for more information.
Product News: 90SMX and 91SMX back in production
Following our End of Life notice earlier this year for the 90SMX and 91SMX crystals, we are pleased to announce that these products will be re-introduced at the beginning of 2007. The factory is still manufacturing the last time buys placed in March, due to the massive demand, before a complete shut down in September. We are then moving manufacturing facilities to a larger site with higher volume output which will open in Jan/Feb 2007.
Therefore we can accept orders for the remaining weeks to end of June 2006, though please be aware that the potential lead times is ~10 weeks, then we will accept orders again from January 2007.
If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact our sales team who will be very happy to help.
AEL Distributors
We have a new page available with a list of our current worldwide distributors to allow easy reference. Please see this page for the full list.
New Product Lines - SAWs
AEL Crystals have been offering SAW products to our customers for some time now and we have updated the website to allow easy sourcing of the correct component for your needs. Please see the SAW product pages for further details.
Oscillator Series Naming and Marking
AEL Crystals has now finished implementing a fully integrated computer system which has allowed us to consolidate the series naming of our oscillators. To help explain the changes, please see this document. If you need any further information on this change please contact our sales office.
RoHS and WEEE Regulations
All AEL products meet the European RoHS and WEEE Directive. Ceramic Resonators and Filters are exempt from the regulations. We do still have a small level of non-compliant products in stock so please ensure you are requesting compliant stock if you need it.
If you have any questions, a member of our sales team will be very happy to help.
Please note our datasheets are not yet 100% up-to-date but we aim to have full RoHS compliant information uploaded early 2007.
AEL Crystals Ltd are now approved by
several manufacturers of Bluetoothä
enabled devices to supply them with surface mounted
quartz crystals. Designed to combine the demanding electrical specification with
an ultra small form factor, AEL have successfully produced several variants
specifically for this application
1. 7x5mm SMD offering standard 4-pad
lower cost option
2. 5x3mm SMD Smaller footprint where
space saving is a factor
3. 3x2mm SMD Ultra small device with
required pulling characteristics combined with smallest footprint available
X-ACT
Oven Controlled Oscillator (OCXO)
Available in SMD and standard CO-08
formats, the X-ACT oscillator has been developed by Quartz-Pro of Sweden for use
primarily in high stability telecom applications. Distributed in the UK and
Ireland by AEL Crystals Ltd, much interest has already been shown by various
mobile telecom operators
